Good manual handling is key to ensure the safety and independence for both you and your carers.   We can complete individual risk assessments and write individualised manual handling plans to suit your specific needs, aiming to minimise the risk of injury to both you and your carers.  This will include training in safe handling techniques, including use of equipment such as hoists, as well as optimising your home environment to reduce strain.

We can provide training to carers which includes injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics, was well as hands on practical techniques.   Because we are always person centred, we ensure that the manual handling strategies align with your personals goals and lifestyle, promoting your independence where possible.
